Apple Martin grew up surrounded by Hollywood royalty with mom Gwyneth Paltrow, dad Chris Martin, and grandmother Blythe Danner. But when it comes to her love life, her mother reportedly wanted something very different for her.
The 22-year-old aspiring actress, who is making her acting debut in Nancy Meyers’ upcoming film Paris Paramount, has been dating fellow Vanderbilt University grad Moshe Levi for over a year. He’s from a “good family that wants to make a difference in the world,” according to a Paltrow insider, per the Daily Mail. Besides the young couple’s relationship being described as “cute” and “passionate,” Levi also has the parent stamp of approval.

“Moshe has studied business, and he is going into philanthropy, so there is nothing Hollywood about him; he doesn’t even live in Los Angeles,” the source continued. “He lives in New York City and hangs out in the Hamptons.”

Besides his un-Hollywood pedigree, Paltrow reportedly “approves” of Levi “because he comes from a good family and he has been around – he is not some dude she met in a bar.”
The insider added, “He also has impeccable manners and has an interest in business, politics – he is well-read and college-educated, and Gwyneth likes that.”
But the biggest reason? Levi is “not an actor,” and Paltrow allegedly believes that “it’s best to have one actor in the couple, not two actors.”
Martin has not hard-launched her relationship on Instagram, perhaps learning a lesson from her mother’s A-list dating life when she was a young star — the tabloids can be ruthless. But it looks like the paparazzi are hot on their trail.

There may also be one curious footnote to Levi’s dating life, though. Per the entertainment outlet, he possibly dated Jordan Miller, the lead singer of the Canadian band The Beaches. She released a song, “Perfect 10,” in June, which features a lyric referencing Martin.
The lyric reads, “You’re a stubborn motherf—er. Of course you’re dating Gwyneth Paltrow’s daughter. I’m sorry, but you are just another narcissist that wants everyone to like ya.”
This love story might have another chapter coming soon.
