An Optus outage has affected customers across Victoria, the Northern Territory, South Australia and Tasmania.
Optus customers were advised there had been a loss of coverage, but they could still make emergency calls where other mobile networks were available or through Wi-Fi.
It is understood customers were impacted for about an hour.
An Optus spokesman said on Friday night that an issue affecting some customers’ voice calling services across parts of the country was resolved.
“We became aware of the issue at approximately 1.30pm AEST and immediately mobilised technical teams and restored services as quickly as possible,” a spokesman said.
“We sincerely apologise to our customers for the disruption.”
