Watch 6 Pro will launch on September 28 and it will be Honor’s first wearable to use the cardiac arrest monitoring system. The new addition will enable the device to measure heart rate and proactively alert users in emergencies. Here are the details:
Honor’s Watch 6 Pro will bring many significant upgrades later this month, one of which is cardiac arrest monitoring. It seems the company is adopting certain health features that can deliver a more convenient experience to users.
Even though the Chinese tech giant hasn’t described how the new feature will work, it may detect when a person’s heart stops beating with PPG and accelerometer sensors and trigger an automated alert to emergency services.
It is not the first time that Honor is introducing a cardiac-based feature. The Watch GS 5 debuted earlier this year showcased an anti-sudden cardiac arrest screening.
Powered by a heart rate sensor – PPG, the feature detects the vagus nerve’s ability to regulate heart rate by measuring its deceleration force and identifies risks.
But this time, the company might take this feature one step further. The details on this matter are currently under wraps and will probably take some time to come out. Meanwhile, the company will continue to highlight the device’s key features.
In addition to an enhanced cardiac arrest monitoring system, Honor has equipped the Watch 6 Pro with a Smart Eye Sensing system. It is said to achieve seamless blood pressure monitoring. Whether this wearable will take on the Huawei Watch D3 is worth looking forward to!
