Harleen Deol is set to make her Women’s Caribbean Premier League debut after joining defending champions Barbados Tridents for the remainder of the 2026 season. The India batter has travelled to Barbados and joins the Tridents as their fifth overseas player. Deol, 28, isn’t part of either the senior India or India ‘A’ squads and will therefore stay with the franchise through the tournament.
Her arrival further strengthens the Indian presence in WCPL 2026. Five of the 20 overseas berths are now occupied by Indian players, with Kiran Navgire and Pooja Vastrakar also part of the Tridents squad. Shikha Pandey and Yastika Bhatia, meanwhile, are representing Trinbago Knight Riders.
Deol has 28 T20I appearances for India, with 311 runs from 20 innings at a strike rate of 92.01. She last played for India in March, against Australia. Deol, who has also played for the Gujarat Giants and the UP Warriorz, has 649 runs from 28 WPL games at a strike-rate of 115.68.
Barbados began their title defence with a 21-run defeat to Trinbago Knight Riders on September 5. They have two games coming up this weekend, against Jamaica Empress on Saturday and Guyana Amazon Warriors on Sunday.
