Eels star Josh Addo-Carr has been dropped by car sponsor JAC Motors after allegedly testing positive for cocaine.
Reports emerged over the weekend that the Parramatta flyer was stopped by police in Sydney’s inner-west on Friday night where the test was conducted, which subsequently produced the positive result.
No charges have been laid.

Both the Eels and the NRL Integrity Unit were made aware of the incident, and Parramatta pledged to provide welfare support to their player.
He has also checked into a rehabillitation centre on the Central Coast.
One of his sponsors have been quick to drop him in the wake of the scandal, with JAC Motors axing him as an ambassador while the investigation continues.
On Sunday, the company issued a statement on Instagram saying: “JAC Motors wishes to announce the immediate termination of our sponsorship with Josh Addo-Carr.
“The allegations and reported behaviour do not reflect our values and standards.
“We believe in safety and integrity in all our products and all our dealings and we are disappointed with this news.”
Addo-Carr returned a preliminary drug wipe which gave a positive indication for cocaine, having returned a negative result for a breath test.
An oral fluid sample taken from Addo-Carr has been sent for further testing.
A statement from the Eels said: “The Parramatta Eels are aware of an alleged incident involving Josh Addo-Carr.
“The club has notified the NRL Integrity Unit and is co-operating with the appropriate processes, as well as providing welfare support to Josh and his family.
“The Parramatta Eels will not be commenting further until the matter has been finalised.”

Addo-Carr has previously been sacked from an NRL club due to a drug-related event during his time at the Bulldogs, testing positive for cocaine during the latter stages of the 2024 season.
The gun winger was stood down by the club, despite his defiant denials he took any illegal substances.
However, a roadside drug wipe and a secondary oral sample both returned positive results for cocaine, which led the Bulldogs to terminate his contract on October 31, 2024.
Addo-Carr is contracted to the Eels until the end of the 2027, having made 45 appearances for the club since joining after his Bulldogs spell.
That followed four years at Melbourne Storm, where he won the premiership in 2017 and 2020.
