GIPPSLAND’S thrilling Talent League preliminary final win over Sandringham will stand despite the Power having an extra player on the ground during the victory.
The Power won the clash at Mars Stadium in Ballarat on Sunday by two points, denying the Dragons a fifth straight Grand Final appearance.
AFL.com.au’s Cal Twomey reported the Dragons had contacted the League after Gippsland had a 19th player on the field during the clash.
Twomey reported the Power player ran on, kicked a goal and then ran off during the second quarter.
But the League has told both clubs the result will stand despite an acknowledgement of the error.
AFL has ruled that the result will stand in the U18s prelim. Both clubs made aware.

Leo Stephenson kicked what proved to be the winning goal for Gippsland with two minutes remaining in a thrilling clash.
Gippsland will take on the Dandenong Stingrays in the Grand Final at Mission Whitten Oval on Saturday.
