Kayla Dalgleish has signed a contract extension with the club

West Coast Eagles utility Kayla Dalgleish has signed a two-year contract extension, keeping her in blue and gold until at least the end of 2028.
Dalgleish joined the club with pick No. 57 in the 2024 AFLW Draft, renowned for her speed, football smarts and craftiness in front of goal, and made her debut in round one of the 2025 season.
“I’ve got so much belief in this team and what we are building,” Dalgleish said.
“I’m loving the coaching, the program and the direction we’re heading.
“It’s a great team, and I’m really excited to keep building and pushing for success together.”
The 20-year-old Dandenong Stingrays product had an interrupted start to her 2026 campaign with a hamstring injury but re-joined her teammates in round four against Melbourne.
She played an important role in the Eagles’ round five victory over last season’s grand finalists Brisbane, managing 10 disposals, three tackles and a goal.

“Since arriving at the club, she’s continued to develop her game and establish herself as a really important player in our team, with her speed, defensive pressure, and ability to create opportunities making her a genuine threat in our front half.
“She brings great energy every time she plays and consistently impacts the game both with and without the ball.
“We’re extremely excited about what Kayla can achieve over the next two seasons and look forward to seeing her continue to grow and play an important role in our team’s success.”
