Luka Doncic said Michael Jordan would be the basketball legend he would most like to face, calling the choice an easy one because of MJ’s greatness.
Los Angeles Lakers star Luka Doncic picked Michael Jordan when asked which basketball legend he would most like to face in a game during an exclusive interview with SLAM.

“I think I would choose Michael Jordan,” Doncic said after a young Spanish fan asked him the question. “It’s an easy answer, but he was an incredible player, and I would really like to play against him.”
Last season, Doncic played alongside 41-year-old LeBron James, another player widely included in the GOAT debate.
Luka, 27, is coming off another dominant NBA season with the Lakers. He averaged a league-leading 33.5 points, 7.7 rebounds, and 8.3 assists per game in 2025-26.
Doncic has averaged 29.2 points, 8.5 rebounds, and 8.2 assists for his NBA career after entering the league as the No. 3 overall pick in the 2018 NBA Draft.

Jordan remains one of the NBA’s biggest legends
Jordan, meanwhile, spent 15 seasons in the NBA with the Chicago Bulls and Washington Wizards, finishing his career with averages of 30.1 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 5.3 assists per game.
He won six NBA championships with Chicago and was named Finals MVP in all six title runs.
Jordan also won five regular-season MVP awards, 10 scoring titles, and one Defensive Player of the Year award.
His career scoring average of 30.1 points per game remains the highest mark in NBA history.
