Australian Boomer Duop Reath is returning to the NBA, joining the second team of his NBA career.
Reath, 30, has signed with the Phoenix Suns ahead of the 2026-27 season, according to ESPN insider Shams Charania.

Suns big man Mark Williams will reportedly miss ‘several months’ due to a shoulder injury, with the team adding Reath for frontcourt depth alongside 2025 No. 10 pick Khaman Maluach.
The Suns were interested in both Reath and NBA veteran Bismack Biyombo, but elected to go with the Boomers big man, with his age and ability to spread the floor reportedly factoring into the decision.
He will feature alongside the Suns’ $220 million (A$310m) man Devin Booker, as well as Jalen Green and Dillon Brooks.

Reath appeared in 146 games for the Portland Trail Blazers over three seasons, averaging 6.2 points and 2.6 rebounds while shooting 45 per cent from the field in 13.3 minutes per game.
His final season with the team would end in January when Reath underwent foot surgery to repair a stress fracture.
In February, Reath was then traded by the Blazers to the Atlanta Hawks before being waived five days later, making him a free agent.
Reath will be a key figure for the Australian Boomers heading into the 2027 FIBA World Cup and the 2028 LA Olympic Games.
He was a part of the team’s breakthrough at the Tokyo Olympics, where the Boomers won their first medal with bronze, and was also a member of the team at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
Reath continues a strong line of Australians in the NBA, led by Chicago Bulls star Josh Giddey, Atlanta Hawks star Dyson Daniels and Indiana Pacers youngster Johnny Furphy.
