Iowa State’s Jaheim Singletary carted off after awkward hit
AMES, Iowa —
An Iowa State football player sustained a scary injury Saturday in the first quarter of the team’s game vs. Bowling Green.
Jaheim Singletary collided with a teammate on a Bowling Green pass play that resulted in a touchdown. Singletary remained on the field after the collision.

The training staff and EMS crews immediately attended to Singletary, who needed to be carted off on a stretcher.
Iowa State’s entire team huddled up on the field after the play to regroup.
Singletary, a senior, transferred to Iowa State this year after three seasons at Arkansas and one season at Georgia. He recorded one tackle in each of Iowa State’s first two games.
Singletary was taken to a nearby hospital.
