Two teen boys have been involved in a deadly crash in rural South Australia.
A ute and a sedan, both driven by 17-year-old boys from Renmark, crashed on the Sturt Hwy in Annadale, roughly an hour-and-a-half away from their homes, at 7.30pm on Sunday.
The ute driver was airlifted to hospital fighting for life, SA Police said.
The teen in the sedan did not survive the crash.
His passenger, a 23-year-old man also from Renmark, suffered minor physical injuries and was taken to hospital in an ambulance.
The Sturt Highway was closed for several hours but has since reopened.
The boy’s death marks the 80th life lost on SA roads this year.
Investigations into the crash are ongoing.
