Here’s everything you need to know as 24 players from the United States and the rest of the world head to Medinah for the 16th Presidents Cup…
Can the International team win the Presidents Cup for just a second time, or are we expecting another walk in the park and an 11th title in a row for the United States? We almost certainly already know the answer – but, just in case, let’s do this anyway…
2026 Presidents Cup key details

Defending champions: USA (18½-11½)
2026 Presidents Cup teams
US captain Brandt Snedeker caused quite a stir with his selection when he left out Ben Griffin and JJ Spaun, who had finished 8th and 10th respectively in the qualification standings, for out of sorts Patrick Cantlay and young hotshot Jackson Koivun.
International skipper Geoff Ogilvy was also accused of not doing himself any favors when he ditched Casey Jarvis, Jayden Schaper and Aldrich Potgeiter – who have won six PGA and DP World Tour titles between them in the last year – to include Christiaan Bezuidenhout, who hasn’t lifted a trophy for more than half a decade.
Of course, it doesn’t help that Ogilvy was not allowed to turn to a number of LIV Golf stars who would have unquestionably made his team stronger, including Joaquin Niemann, Cam Smith and Lucas Herbert, among others.
Anyway, you can meet the teams and see their Presidents Cup records here.
2026 Presidents Cup course guide
We’re heading back to Medinah Country Club for the 16th Presidents Cup, a venue that has previously hosted three US Opens, two PGA Championships and, of course, that infamous Ryder Cup in 2012.
And given the United States’ record in this competition, the Internationals will be hoping for a miracle of their own.
Medinah’s No.3 course will look a lot different to the last time we saw it on TV, though, and TG‘s Rob McGarr has detailed every single change here.

2026 Presidents Cup betting odds
You won’t be surprised to hear that the United States are the heavy favorites, with our friends at Oddschecker pricing them at 2/7.
If you fancy the International team to have their own Miracle at Medinah, though, you can get them at 9/2, while the second draw in Presidents Cup history is out at 16/1.
2026 Presidents Cup prize money
Players are not paid to play in the Presidents Cup, nor is there any prize money. However, each of the 24 competitors is allocated an equal portion of the profits made from the tournament to donate to a charity of his choice.
According to the President’s Cup website: “Since the inception of the Presidents Cup in 1994, more than $56 million has been generated from event proceeds. Over the past 25 years, the Presidents Cup has impacted more than 475 charities in 18 countries worldwide.”
