Any belief that Arizona could be a surprise playoff contender likely dissipated after Sunday’s crushing loss against the rival Seattle Seahawks. Arizona’s defense managed to keep the game close early, but it fell apart in the second half, while the Cardinals’ offense struggled throughout the contest.
The Cardinals have enough talent to pull off a few upsets this season, especially if new head coach Mike LaFleur can maintain confidence after games like Sunday’s. However, a brutal upcoming schedule that includes road games against the San Francisco 49ers, New York Giants, and Los Angeles Rams will be difficult to navigate with a winning record. — Knox
