KC Global Media Asia is in pre-production on Rice to Riches, a reality show to be co-produced and hosted by DJ and producer Kim Lee, who won a new legion of fans following her appearances on Netflix’s Bling Empire.

Rice to Riches is described as “an uplifting masterclass on how content creators make an income and monetize their social media into brand deals and original products.”

The show will have Lee exploring the Asian content creator world, visiting the homes, production spaces and offices of leading creators to get the inside scoop on their early professional lives and how each of them have become influencers and financial powerhouses.

The eight-episode first season will feature nine content creators including Michael Le from the U.S., Jestinna & Christinna Kuan from Malaysia, and Kevin Ninh from the U.S., with more creators to be announced. Production is taking place in the U.S. and Asia beginning in October.

A Los Angeles native, Lee is also known for appearances on Yo! MTV Raps Asia and Prime Video’s CryptoKnights. As a DJ, she has toured and done shows with Steve Aoki, Martin Garrix, Diplo and Skrillex.

“We are so excited to be in business with a creative powerhouse like Kim Lee and Rice to Riches is a true collaboration between us,” said George Chien, KC Global Media Asia Co-Founder, President & CEO.

“Most people don’t understand the world of Asian creative economy and we can’t wait to highlight these individuals and this growing and profitable enterprise in a way that is both informative and entertaining.”

Said Lee: “I’m thrilled to be co-producing this project with KC Global Media. Their vision and experience make them the perfect partner. I can’t wait for audiences to watch what we’re creating together.”
