Mivi, the Hyderabad-based audio brand best known for earphones and speakers, has launched its first smartphone, the Mivi One 5G, and it will go on sale in India through Flipkart on October 8. The phone lists at INR 14,999 for 4GB/128GB, INR 15,999 for 6GB/128GB and INR 16,999 for 8GB/128GB, according to GSMArena, although Flipkart’s Big Billion Days pricing brings the base model down to an effective INR 11,999 once sale discounts and bank offers are applied. On paper it is a sensible first phone, but the more interesting story is timing, because Mivi is walking into the budget segment at the exact moment larger brands are walking out of it, and the way it made the numbers work says a lot about what a cheap phone looks like in 2026.
Mivi One 5G Specs and Price

Why INR 14,999 Still Looks Normal in 2026
The comparison with 2025 is not entirely fair, because the price of the memory inside every phone has exploded since then.
