A new ratings battle was underway on Monday night.

Monday proved to be an interesting new contest in TV ratings.

Without a Sunday episode The Block had its room reveal episode drawing 1.19m viewers, which is down compared to Sunday screenings.

Season 16 of My Kitchen Rules returned to 956,000 viewers, which is up on 2025’s premiere of 817,000 for Seven, a good sign.

7:30 was 778,000 then Australian Story‘s Chrissy Amphlett episode at 683,000.

The premiere of Shaun Micallef’s Parents’ Evening at 601,000 is a boost on the timeslot for the network and has drawn positive feedback.

Later, Have You Been Paying Attention? won at 682,000 eclipsing Four Corners (671,000), Media Watch (611,000), The Rookie (494,000), 100% Footy (247,000).

Seven News was #1 at 1.51m then Home & Away (980,000) and The Chase (675,000). The Agenda Setters was 91,000.

Nine News pulled 1.28m then A Current Affair (1.07m) and Tipping Point (819,000). Nine News Late managed 148,000.

ABC News scored 957,000 then Planet America (517,000), Hard Quiz (415,000),

Millionaire Hot Seat was 37,000 then 10 News (301,000 / 169,000), 10 Late News (244,000), Deal or No Deal (189,000).

On SBS it was SBS World News (229,000 / 139,000), Mastermind (109,000), Bill Bailey’s Vietnam (100,000), 24 Hours in Emergency (90,000), 8 Out of 10 Cats does Countdown (54,000).
