The Reserve Bank of Australia has hiked the cash rate to 4.6 per cent at its September meeting.
The 25 basis point hike takes the cash rate to the highest level it has been since November 2011.

The hike was widely expected with markets pricing the probability of a rate hike at about 90 per cent, while all of the Big Four banks’ economic teams correctly predicted the hike.
