The first fully electric Range Rover Sport is available to order in Australia, priced from $226,518 plus on-road costs, with initial deliveries expected in March 2027.
The Range Rover Sport Electric comes in two grades: Dynamic HSE at $226,518 and Autobiography at $249,518, both before on-road costs. It joins the existing plug-in hybrid, petrol and diesel versions rather than replacing them.
The electric Sport enters a field of large luxury EV SUVs that includes the Porsche Cayenne Electric, Lotus Eletre and BMW iX.

The Cayenne S Electric is priced from $193,100 before on-road costs, below the entry Range Rover, while the Cayenne Turbo Electric sits above it at $259,900.
Both Sport electric grades use a 118.5kWh battery and two electric motors, one on each axle. Although each motor is rated at 260kW, their combined output is 404kW and 850Nm. Range Rover claims a 0–100km/h time of 4.5 seconds with Dynamic Launch engaged.
Claimed range is up to 600km on the NEDC test cycle. Range Rover also quotes a 535km estimate based on a production vehicle driven over a standardised route; actual results will depend on conditions and use.

The 800-volt electrical system supports a claimed 10–80 per cent DC charging time of about 22 minutes on a 350kW charger. Range Rover says 10 minutes at that charging rate can add up to 220km of NEDC range. A 22kW onboard AC charger is fitted.
The Sport Electric has more than a battery and motors separating it from its plug-in hybrid stablemate. Range Rover says its body structure is 61 per cent stiffer and its centre of gravity is 73mm lower.
Its chassis equipment includes air suspension, electronically controlled dampers, active roll control and all-wheel steering.
Range Rover also claims a 900mm wading depth and a 2500kg maximum braked towing capacity.
Those figures give the electric model capabilities that may matter to buyers considering it in place of a combustion-engined Sport, although towing and off-road use will affect driving range.

Exterior changes are relatively restrained, with an aerodynamically optimised grille and wheel designs among the identifying features.
The Sport Electric will be built at Solihull in the UK alongside the other Range Rover Sport variants, using batteries and motors produced at JLR’s Wolverhampton facility.
Inside, a 13.1-inch curved touchscreen runs the Pivi Pro infotainment system, accompanied by a 13.7-inch digital instrument display.
Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, along with a 15W wireless phone charger. The system includes EV-specific controls for charging schedules and the powered charge-port door.
Range Rover lists available 22-way adjustable heated and ventilated front seats with massage, plus heated and ventilated reclining rear seats.

Buyers can also specify a Comfort Pack with four-zone climate control, a front console refrigerator, laminated side glass and cabin air purification.
The press material does not set out which of these items are standard on each Australian grade.
The battery carries an eight-year warranty, although Range Rover’s Australian material does not specify the local distance limit.
