Seven confirms presenters, broadcast details for Bathurst 1000 Mark Beretta (left) and Mel McLaughlin pictured with the Peter Brock Trophy in 2023.

Leading sports news presenter Mel McLaughlin will lead the coverage alongside Supercars stalwarts Matt White and Mark Beretta.

Rally and off-road champion Molly Taylor will make her return to pit lane, with publisher and commentator Aaron Noonan also returning to screens.

Providing colour across the fabled Mount Panorama paddock and campgrounds will be TV personality and radio host Emma Freedman.

As expected, in-race commentary will be provided by Richard Crail and Garth Tander with recent addition Greg Murphy to return.

Chad Neylon, Mark Larkham and Riana Crehan reprise their roles as pit lane reporters.

“After the drama of last year, when Matt Payne and Garth Tander came from 18th on the grid to win in the wet, we know Bathurst can deliver a race for the ages,” said Seven’s head of motorsport Angela Rampal.

“The 2025 Repco Bathurst 1000 had everything, from seven safety cars to a last-lap twist that had the whole country on the edge of their seats, and it’s no surprise it’s being called one of the greatest races ever.

“This year’s title fight is shaping up to be just as fierce, and with the Finals Series spots still on the line, we can’t wait to bring every moment of the 2026 Repco Bathurst 1000 to Australians nationwide on Seven and 7plus.

“Nobody knows what the Mountain will throw at us next, and that’s exactly why we love it.

“It’s going to be huge, and we’re ready to deliver every unforgettable moment, live and free all weekend long on Seven and 7plus.”

Seven gets its Bathurst 1000 coverage underway in earnest on Sunday, October 4 with its pre-event preview on Seven, 7mate and 7plus from 12:00pm AEDT.

That will be fronted by White and Tander with guest appearances from co-drivers Mark Winterbottom and last year’s Bathurst 1000 winner Matt Payne.

Seven has also announced a Supercars-themed episode of ‘Unfiltered’, featuring 2010 champion James Courtney.

Courtney will speak with Hamish McLachlan about his personal life, Supercars career, desire to finally win the Bathurst 1000, and the near-fatal F1 testing crash in 2002.

That will air on Thursday, October 8 at 10.30pm AEDT on Seven and 7plus.

Seven’s coverage of the Bathurst 1000 does not include Thursday practice. Its coverage begins on Friday on Seven, 7mate and 7plus at 10:00am AEDT.

Saturday’s coverage begins at 10:00am AEDT while coverage of Sunday’s big dance commences at 7:00am AEDT.
