Beyond their star trio, the Los Angeles Lakers have also decided to rest several of their core players against the Golden State Warriors.

Lakers resting Luka Doncic, keeping cautious for Austin Reaves and Walker Kessler

After playing against the Sacramento Kings, Luka Doncic will be rested by the Los Angeles Lakers for the second night of their back-to-back preseason action.

Doncic dropped 21 points in 16 minutes to lead LA’s 127-103 win over the Kings, making his return to the court for the first time after a late-season hamstring strain cut his 2025-26 season short.

Meanwhile, the wait continues across the Lakeshow fanbase for both Austin Reaves and Walker Kessler’s play. Reaves (ankle) and Kessler (finger) are dealing with injuries, and Los Angeles is keeping it safe and cautious for their availability before the season opener.
