It’s looking increasingly likely that Blakey won’t be at the Swans next season after meeting with Gold Coast this morning.
However, North Melbourne have reportedly put a big offer on the table for the son-of-a-gun ahead of their meeting with him.
Blakey’s father John played more than 200 games with the Roos, including both 1996 and 1999 premierships.
Essendon are also interested in the star half-back.
“We have discussed it internally. There’s a really strong relationship there with Spike [new coach Mark McVeigh] and John [Longmire],” Matt Rosa said.
“Those discussions will continue. We haven’t had an indication from Nick’s management yet that he’s looking to leave. We haven’t met with him, and we haven’t got a time teed up.”
