It’s the moment every golfer dreams of —hitting that perfect shot off the tee and landing a hole-in-one.
For Perth teenager Shayne Lumsden, success has come early. The 18-year-old started playing golf seven years ago, and last weekend he hit his third hole-in-one in eighteen months.
“I was with just members of the club and my parents…they were like cheering, congratulating me the whole time.. it was pretty good,” he told Mark Gibson on 102.5 ABC Radio Perth
His first and third holes-in-one were on a par 3 at the 15th hole at Rockingham Golf Club, in Rockingham, and the second on a par 3 at the 6th at Collier Park Golf course, in South Perth.
“I was talking to the president after my round and he was telling me he’s played his whole life and like, he’s gotten eagles off of a fairway, but he’s never had a hole in one,” he said.
