Manly has secured a major retention win, with highly touted brothers Onitoni Large and Ashton Large set to remain at the Sea Eagles until at least the end of the 2029 season.
The double retention move is a significant boost for the Northern Beaches club, with the pair viewed as key parts of Manly’s future and potential long-term pillars of the team’s spine.
Both brothers have enjoyed impressive seasons in the junior ranks, playing pivotal roles in Manly’s SG Ball Cup campaign and earning recognition for their individual performances.

Ashton, who was formerly a part of the Wests Tigers system, took home the Jake Trbojevic Award for Junior Male Player of the Year in 2026.
The hooker was also named Players’ Player in the SG Ball Cup for Manly.
His older brother Onitoni was also recognised for his efforts, collecting the Best Back of the Year award for Manly’s under-19s.
The rising playmaker has already made significant strides in his development, earning a place in Manly’s Top 30 squad this year at just 18.
He then made his NSW Cup debut in Round 11 before making his NRL debut in Round 26, shortly after his 19th birthday, coming off the bench and into the halves.

His rapid progression has underlined the club’s faith in his potential, with the Sea Eagles now securing his services alongside his younger brother for the coming years.
Both players were also selected for the NSW Under-19s State of Origin team this year, further highlighting their standing among the game’s emerging talents.
With the brothers now locked in until at least 2029, Manly has taken an important step towards building its next generation, with the highly rated duo expected to play significant roles in the club’s future.
