The world’s best tennis players are gathered in New York City for the final Grand Slam of the year, the U.S. Open.
Storylines heading into the tournament include the wild card inclusion of Venus Williams and Aryna Sabalenka’s hopes of back-to-back wins in Queens. The men’s tournament is a bit more predictable. World No. 2 Carlos Alcaraz and No. 1 Jannik Sinner have, together, won the last seven Grand Slam titles. There’s a very good chance one of them is victorious at the U.S. Open, but hopefully we get another matchup between the top seeds — instead of a walkover like we got at the Cincinnati Open.
At a Glance: How to Watch U.S. Open
If you’re looking to watch the 2025 U.S. Open, read on. Ahead are some of the best ways to livestream the U.S. Open online without cable, plus a schedule of events.
How to Watch the U.S. Open Online
Almost every U.S. Open match will be shown on one of the ESPN channels (ESPN, ESPN2, or ESPNEWS), and a few matches will be broadcast on ABC. If you don’t have cable, the best way to watch the U.S. Open online is to get a live TV streaming service that carries all of the above channels. Here are three of the best options:
Editor’s Pick
DirecTV
➤ Five-day free trial
➤ $69.99/month
➤ Up to 185+ channels
DirecTV is our favorite cable streaming solution for sports fans. The live TV streamer carries ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNEWS, and ABC in a few of its plans, including the MySports package. This plan offers some of the best bang-for-your-buck in streaming, delivering 20+ key sports channels and a free ESPN+ subscription for $69.99 a month. Best of all, you get a five-day free trial to start.
Fubo
➤ $84.99/month (first month)
➤ $30 off first month
➤ Up to 400+ channels
Another one of the best cable streaming services for sports if Fubo. This one carries ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNEWS, and ABC in all of its (very large) packages, which start at $84.99 a month. Fubo does not currently offer a free trial, but you can get $30 off your first month with their current promo.
Sling
➤ $45.99/month+
➤ Up to 46 channels
Sling also carries ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNEWS, and ABC, but you’ll need the streamer’s top-tier Orange + Blue package to access all these channels, and ABC coverage isn’t as widely available as it is with DirecTV or Fubo. The Sling Orange + Blue package is slightly cheaper, though, starting at $60.99 a month. Sling does not currently offer a free trial.
