Over seven years ago, Jalen Hurts and Trevor Lawrence went head-to-head with a national championship at stake, with Clemson dominating Alabama for the title. Since then, Hurts has beaten Lawrence twice in the NFL. Now, they’ll meet across the Atlantic.

Hurts’ Eagles and Lawrence’s Jaguars will continue the NFL’s international slate for the 2026 season, meeting in London for a Week 5 matchup between two playoff contenders. Things have been trending in drastically different directions for Philadelphia and Jacksonville in recent weeks, though.

The Eagles come into Week 5 dealing with injury concerns for a list of stars, including Devonta Smith, Saquon Barkley, Quinyon Mitchell and Dallas Goedert. With Lane Johnson’s mid-season retirement and Cam Jurgens’ trade to Baltimore, Nick Sirianni’s offensive line is also being revamped in the middle of the season — the Eagles will be short-handed in London as they look to bounce back from a collapse against the Rams last week.

The Jaguars, meanwhile, have looked like one of the AFC’s best teams so far in 2026. Off to a 3-1 start, Lawrence has been dealing (843 yards, eight touchdowns), Bhayshul Tuten has become a solid backfield weapon (277 rushing yards, 2 TDs), and Jacksonville’s defense ranks second in the NFL in points allowed per game (13.3).

A win in London could do a lot for both squads’ outlook, with Hurts and Lawrence dueling at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Eagles vs. Jaguars live updates, highlights from 2026 NFL London game

All times ET.

Halftime: Eagles 14, Jaguars 7

11:09 a.m. — The first half was madness. At the end, the Jaguars run a play with just a few seconds remaining in the quarter and no timeouts, and Lawrence tried to get the ball to Brian Thomas Jr., who dropped it. For a moment, it appeared the time had run out for Jacksonville before halftime.

Instead, one second is added to the clock, and on a jet sweep play, the Eagles are all over Tuten for a massive series of defensive stops at the goal line.

A horrid goal-line sequence for the #Jaguars but a huge stop for the #Eagles. Big time swing before the half. https://t.co/DFHWp4UoSw

11:02 a.m. — The Jaguars are knocking on the door. Andrew Mukuba makes a big tackle to keep Jacksonville inside the one-yard line, and Chris Rodriguez Jr. almost fumbled the ball away in a big spot, but the Jaguars hold onto the ball.

10:55 a.m. — The Jaguars are driving before halftime, inside the 15-yard line with two timeouts to work with. They can tie it with a touchdown; Lawrence is over 130 passing yards today.

10:44 a.m. TOUCHDOWN — Darius Cooper has six catches this season. Four have been touchdowns.

He breaks free for a huge 62-yard touchdown catch from Hurts, and the Eagles are in front.

10:32 a.m. TOUCHDOWN — Will Shipley ties it up. The call on Hunter set the Eagles up well, and it’s a game again in London.

10:15 a.m. — Philadelphia’s defense gets a stop now, and Makai Lemon makes his first grab of the day as the first quarter comes to an end.

10:08 a.m. — It’s a three-and-out for Philadelphia, struggling to move the ball with depleted weapons today.

Jaguars 7, Eagles 0

10:01 a.m. TOUCHDOWN — The Jaguars have found the momentum now. Travis Hunter picked up a first down, then Parker Washington broke free for a 51-yard touchdown catch-and-run, giving Jacksonville the first lead.

#Eagles had a chance to jump out early. Barely short on fourth down. #Jaguars turn it into a Parker Washington explosive TD. An early 14-point swing. https://t.co/ECBL1J7WKj

— Mike Garafolo (@MikeGarafolo) October 11, 2026

9:57 a.m. — The Eagles’ first drive ended on a 4th & 1 that came up short, as they opted not to try the Tush Push with a new-look offensive line. Philadelphia turns it over after a slow offensive start.

9:43 a.m. — Between penalties galore in London, and now a lost fumble on a sack for Trevor Lawrence, it hasn’t been pretty so far. The Jaguars now have a 3rd & 37 after Lawrence lost the football.

9:41 a.m. — The Jaguars’ offense is finally on the field, moving the ball with a pickup of 12 yards.

9:37 a.m. — To recap the wild opening sequence: the Jaguars TD won’t count due to all the penalties, while Thomas and Trotter were ejected for their brawl.

Hilarious start to the Jaguars vs Eagles game with multiple players ejected on the opening kickoff. https://t.co/qLRHrWevsM

— Savage (@Savageboston) October 11, 2026

9:32 a.m. — What is happening!? The opening kickoff is madness, as the Jaguars get a special teams touchdown on the return, then a fight breaks out around midfield involving the Eagles’ Jeremiah Trotter.

An illegal formation on Jacksonville, holding on the Eagles, plus unnecessary roughness on two players.

Trotter and the Jaguars’ Bryan Thomas Jr. — not to be confused with the wide receiver, Brian — are ejected from the game.

9:18 a.m. — Jalen Hurts is ready.

— Philadelphia Eagles (@Eagles) October 11, 2026

9:16 a.m. — Interestingly, despite announcing his retirement this week, Eagles right tackle Lane Johnson is set to remain on the team’s active roster for the remainder of the season, per Zach Berman. There are “salary cap implications if Johnson is placed on the reserve/retired list with the acceleration of the cap hit. If it processes post-June 1, the Eagles can spread the cap hit over two years and preserve some flexibility.”

That will essentially shorten the Eagles’ roster to 52 players for the rest of the season.
