Police have charged a 13-year-old boy after a mother and son fought back against a group of teenagers as they allegedly stormed a bottle shop in south-west Sydney.

The boy and four others still on the run are accused of charging into The Bottle-O Narellan Vale on Saturday evening, stealing and assaulting staff.

Owner Guo Wu tried to stop them.

“I couldn’t believe that happened in here, and they are so young,” he said.

CCTV shows Santiago Wu racing in to help his mum – at one point grabbing onto one of the boys before two others race back. He was outnumbered.

“They just came back and punch my left eye,” he said.

“My mum also got attacked on her face, her cheek here.”

Four of the group fled but bystanders held the 13-year-old down until police arrived.

He was arrested and charged with larceny.

The owners said the other four were last seen getting on a bus nearby.

About $1000 worth of alcohol was allegedly stolen or destroyed.

In an almost identical attack in August, the Wu family claims two of the same boys stormed in and stole from their shop.
