Tempers flared on The Block when host Scotty Cam evicted Rosco and Adam’s families amid Chantel’s complaint that their presence had made her uncomfortable.
Tensions had been mounting for days over the additional guests in the already cramped share house, with Rosco’s dad Jimbo as well as Adam’s son Kai and his friend all taking up residence in backyard swags.
“I just don’t want more boys doing s**ts in my toilet,” Tayla complained, conveniently forgetting she was the one who had sent people running from the room earlier with her own gas.
For Chantel, the main gripe was that nobody had sought her approval or even bothered to introduce the men to her. Already finding the living conditions squashed and unpleasant, she was unhappy to now find even more people to navigate in the household.
Noting that the new houseguests left their dirty dishes in the sink, Chantel pondered whether she should follow Jolene’s lead and leave a terse note urging them to clean up after themselves.
“But I am not petty like that,” she smirked.

Adam and Rosco digest the news that their family members are being evicted.
Also unimpressed, Sev and Courtney called a body corporate meeting to clarify how long the family members would be staying and whether the arrangement breached show rules. Adam explained that production had granted permission to have his family move in and help out. Given the cramped conditions at the share house, Sev noted that a simple heads-up would have been nice.
“Or asked if this was OK,” Chantel added sullenly. “They are not contestants. It’s a contestant share house. I feel like we should be the only ones living at the house.”
Adding fuel to the fire, Courtney believed Rosco and Adam were securing an unfair advantage by getting their families to pitch in for a minimum labourer’s wage of $25 an hour.
The meeting achieved little beyond exacerbating tensions. Upon returning to the house, Jimbo offered a few jokes that were met with awkward silence, while Adam made a beeline for Rick to get him on side.
“Look, it would have been nice to be asked,” Rick offered diplomatically, as Tayla moaned about sharing the bathroom with so many men.
Adam accuses Rick and the other contestants of coming for him like a pack of dogs over the unwanted extra housemates.
“Don’t come in like a pack of dogs, come to me one-on-one,” Adam complained of the body corporate ambush, before labelling Rick gutless.
Unhappy with the unresolved living situation, Chantel ultimately complained to production that the setup made her uncomfortable.
“I don’t think I should be pushed to be the spokeswoman to get other people’s family members kicked out when they should never have been allowed to live there in the first place,” she said, visibly relieved when Scotty took on the job of evicting the trio on her behalf.
Scott Cam throws Chantel under the bus by telling Rosco that the reason his father is being booted from the share house is that Chantel said he made her uncomfortable.
Approaching Lisa and Rosco — and later Adam — Scotty threw Chantel straight under the bus, revealing he had no choice but to send the family packing because she said they made her uncomfortable. A furious Adam immediately planned his revenge: revoking Chantel and Wyatt’s permission to use his property as an accessway to their garden.
“You do what you’ve got to do,” Scotty said, eyes sparkling with delight at the incoming drama.
Upset to see his dad ousted, Rosco and Lisa decided to leave the house and stay elsewhere with Jimbo.
“They are just using every avenue that they can, and saying you feel uncomfortable is indisputable,” Lisa fumed, believing the word was used as a trump card to force them out.
An irritated Lisa then confronted Chantel directly, asking her to explain exactly how Jimbo had made her uncomfortable. Chantel insisted it wasn’t personal, explaining that she had never been formally introduced to him and that Lisa’s interrogation was the first time she had even heard his name.
“The only couples who don’t feel uncomfortable are the ones who have family members there,” Chantel pointed out.
Chantel explains to Lisa that she did not mean that anyone person in particular was making her uncomfortable, but the unannounced extra bodies in the small share house was making her uncomfortable.
When Rick backed Chantel, Lisa conceded they should have spoken to the rest of the house before bringing Jimbo in to stay.
To ease the friction, Lisa arranged a group dinner. Adam’s son chose not to attend, while Chantel and Wyatt were also no-shows. That left Rick, Tayla, Courtney, and Sev to bear the full brunt of Adam and Jolene’s wrath.
When Rick pointed out that Jolene would have seen red if he had brought two mates to stay without notice, Jolene brought up Wyatt allegedly intimidating her three weeks prior.
“He didn’t stand over you, Jolene,” Courtney snarled. “That’s not what happened.”
A furious Jolene snapped that Courtney had no right to tell another woman how she should feel.
Courtney pushes back on Jolene who has continuously claimed that Wyatt was standing over her.
Jolene had further reason to be peeved with Courtney and Sev, who had once again copied her ideas. Beyond installing a wine cellar similar to Jolene’s plan, the girls had also ripped off their car detailing system — even telling the supplier that Jolene had referred them.
“I think the girls need to f**k off and get their own ideas,” Jolene fumed.
Splashing out on the wine cellar could prove costly. Without a win this week, the girls will struggle to finish their outdoor spaces, though their plans remain as ambitious as ever.
“Now we just need to win the singing competition, score three tens and the $10,000 overall win, or we just have turf going in out the front,” Courtney explained of their dire financial situation.
