Ridge Hits Taylor With the Truth on Bold and the Beautiful—She’s Not His Destiny!

This week’s slow burn goes to Ridge eventually telling Taylor the truth on The Bold and the Beautiful. He got caught up in the moment while in Italy. Ridge chased Brooke around, only to find her in danger. So, he jumped into the water to save her life. In the heat of the moment, Ridge kissed Brooke and told her that he would make everything right. Now what?

Reality Hits

Eric (John McCook), Ridge (Thorsten Kaye), and Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) have returned from their business trip to Italy. In such a short amount of time, everything has changed. Eric tried to get Ridge and Brooke back together. But instead of destiny, it took an act of danger to reunite them, although briefly.

Ridge noticed Brooke riding on the back of Nick’s (Jack Wagner) boat. She fell into the waters below. Ridge jumped into save her life, and told her that he couldn’t live without her. Then, he sealed it with a kiss. But ever since their return to Los Angeles, he’s acted cold and aloof with both Brooke and Taylor (Rebecca Budig).

Taylor didn’t want to worry about Brooke and Ridge being in Italy, so she preoccupied herself by making wedding plans, which Ridge didn’t know about. He realized that they were engaged, but he made a promise to Brooke. So, again, we ask, how is Ridge going to make things right?

What Now?

Ridge has yet to tell Taylor the truth. He’d better do it before they walk down the aisle. It’s become obvious that Ridge only goes back to Taylor whenever he’s mad at Brooke. She’s not his destiny; she’s his backup plan. Ridge seems to be moving slowly for someone who claims he’s going to make things right. How does he plan to do that?

It took Ridge a lot of effort to apologize to Brooke while in Italy. Now, it’s taking a lot of effort for him to tell Taylor the truth about what really happened. He needs to hit Taylor with the truth and tell her that she’s not his destiny. They were never meant to be because he will always be in love with Brooke.
