Magill Estate Restaurant in Adelaide’s east has joined an elite class of global eateries after becoming Australia’s only two-Michelin-starred restaurant. The honour was announced at a glitzy ceremony at Adelaide’s Convention Centre on Wednesday evening to mark the arrival of the world’s most influential dining guide on Australian shores.

The fine diner, which overlooks the Penfold’s vineyard at the base of the Adelaide Hills, has been led by chef Scott Huggins for over 13 years. In his acceptance speech, Huggins spoke of how, at the start of his career, he dreamed of one day working in a Michelin starred restaurant.
