Former Maine-Endwell basketball star Kaety L’Amoreaux held her third youth basketball camp Sunday at Bulldogs Sports Complex.

The camp was open to basketball players in grades 1-8.

L’Amoreaux was a star in the Southern Tier at Maine-Endwell and she now plays NCAA Division I basketball for Fairfield University.

“I always loved going to camps when I was younger,” said L’Amoreaux. “I just think its such an important piece of playing sports and I always have a great time doing it and I love giving back to the community when I am home.”

Players had a chance to take part in drills and play games during Sunday’s camp.

L’Amoreaux is entering her junior year at Fairfield. As a sophomore, she earned All-MAAC Second Team honors while helping the Stags advance to the NCAA Tournament. Through two seasons at Fairfield, she is averaging 11.3 points per game while making 57 starts.

She was a 1,000-point scorer at Maine-Endwell who set the program’s single-game record with 45 points against Vestal.
