Rise and Fall Season 2 witnessed two exits, Karan Patel’s return and a major reshuffle of teams in its latest developments. As Raj Grover and Kaira Anu bid farewell to the show, Karan returned to the game, prompting the Rulers to decide whether he would rejoin them in the Penthouse or enter the Basement as a Worker. Meanwhile, fresh alliances and disagreements began to alter the existing power dynamics.
Rise and Fall Season 2: Karan Patel returns to the Penthouse as Raj Grover and Kaira Anu exit; new alliances reshape the game
Kaira’s exit proved emotional for Manish Kashyap, who broke down as she said goodbye. Karan’s return, meanwhile, brought a change in the mood of the house. The Rulers voted on his position, with the majority choosing to welcome him back to the Penthouse. Rishabh Jaiswal was the only one to take a different stance.
After returning, Karan reconnected with Niharika Tiwari, and the two discussed game strategy, including how they could use Shehzad Poonawalla to their advantage. Elsewhere, Irina Rudakova confronted Shehzad over comments that had made her feel intimidated. The exchange ended with Shehzad acknowledging the misunderstanding and apologising.
Tensions also surfaced between Manish Kashyap and Gautam Gulati following a disagreement over a joke. At the same time, some Workers questioned Sonam Khan’s alignment with Gautam, adding to the uncertainty surrounding loyalties within the house.
The game then underwent a major change through the ‘Batwara’ twist, which divided both the Penthouse and the Basement into two teams. Under Ultimate Ruler Niharika’s watch, the Penthouse teams comprised Shehzad, Swara Bhasker and Sara Gurpal on one side, and Karan, Irina and Rishabh on the other. In the Basement, Gautam, Jashwant Singh and Priyanka Chahar Choudhary formed one team, while Sonam, Manish and Kajal Raghwani made up the other.
The contestants were subsequently asked to build alliances across the divide. Karan, Rishabh and Irina joined Gautam, Priyanka and Jashwant, while Shehzad, Swara and Sara teamed up with Manish, Kajal and Sonam.
However, the new arrangement soon led to a disagreement. Sara questioned Priyanka’s willingness to participate in the game. Priyanka maintained that the Workers had decided not to play for Gautam, but Sara accused her of lying. The exchange highlighted the differences emerging among the contestants as the team structure changed.
With Karan back in the Penthouse and the ‘Batwara’ twist bringing new combinations into play, the contestants now face a revised set of alliances and rivalries. How these teams perform under pressure remains to be seen.
