Jordan Dixson shared the creative find on social media while he was walking past the display.
Against the fence post sit several tombstones styled like those from The Simpsons’ iconic Treehouse of Horror Halloween episodes.
Each one was a nod to a news event or pop culture reference that has occurred in 2026.
One sign reads “R.I.P. The Sydney Swans reputation”, referencing allegations made against several AFL players in August.
“Taken too soon: The Strait of Hormuz. 28 Feb 2026,” another reads, referencing the ongoing war between Iran, Israel, and the United States.
Some note the deaths of notable celebrities such as Tim Curry and Diane Keaton.
“Chuck Norris didn’t die at age 86. 86 died at Chuck Norris. 19 March 2026,” another reads.
One also references Ed Sheeran’s recent backlash in September, after Macklemore was dropped from his tour.
Macklemore announced he would no longer be supporting Sheeran following onstage “Free Palestine” comments he made regarding the war in Gaza.
This sparked significant public controversy and backlash for Sheeran, including outside the Melbourne home with a Halloween tombstone that reads: “In loving memory. Ed Sheeran’s spine.”
Above the graveyard of 2026 moments hang several skeletons relating to high-profile celebrity deaths, including Dolly Parton, Sam Neil and Oliver Tree.
“It’s great to see Australia having a bit more fun with Halloween. It’s a great way to talk about news and pop culture in a tongue-in-cheek way while being respectful. It’s a great set up,” Mr Dixson told news.com.au.
He also wanted to be clear that the house isn’t his: “All credit to the people who set it up.”
The comment section of the video also thought the home was worthy of applause.
“This has made my day,” a user wrote.
Another local shared: “This house is my fave part of driving home in October.”
“I want to give this house candy,” a third added.
