A 37-year-old man is in hospital with serious injuries after being mauled by two dogs in Brisbane’s north on Friday evening.
About 6.15pm, witnesses called police after seeing a man being attacked in 7th Brigade Park, along Kittyhawk Drive, in Chermside.
Emergency services found the man with life-threatening injuries to both arms, however the two dogs had fled.

The man, who lived locally, was taken to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital, while police teams, including Polair, searched for the dogs.
By midday on Saturday his condition had stabilised, although he remained in hospital.
Police body cam footage indicated the man had been running through the park when he was set upon by the dogs, although officers were unable to confirm his route.
One of the animals, thought to be pit bulls, was found on Friday night, and the second was located shortly after 8am on Saturday.
Brisbane City Council was deciding what to do with the dogs, with a spokesperson confirming they were in council possession.
The spokesperson said both dogs were registered to the same address and had not previously been declared dangerous.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with the victim of last night’s horrific dog attack,” the council said.
Shortly after 1pm, Lord Mayor Adrian Schrinner issued a statement assuring the public there was no ongoing threat.
“I want to reassure local residents that we are working with the police and are treating this matter extremely seriously,” he said.
“Everyone deserves to feel safe in their own neighbourhood, and this horrific incident is a devastating reminder of why dog owners must take responsibility for keeping their pets safely secured.”
The Chermside parkrun, which tracks a course through 7th Brigade Park, warned runners on Friday night that Saturday morning’s event could be cancelled due to two pit bulls on the loose.
However, about 6am on Saturday, event organisers said the run would continue on the proviso that participants not bring their dogs, and that small children be kept close to their parents.
