RAIN is expected to add another factor into the mix this coming weekend as the Repco Supercars Championship moves into finals mode.

Plenty of wet weather is forecast to hit the streets of Surfers Paradise, which should make for anything but a straightforward scenario for the 10 drivers squabbling for seven places in the Sandown semi-finals.

The last wet Gold Coast Supercars race came in 2018, with conditions deteriorating to the extent that the contest was abandoned.

A pair of 250km Supercars races will headline this year’s Boost Mobile Gold Coast 500, October 23-25.

Surfers Paradise weather forecast per the Bureau of Meteorology (as at 19/10/26)

Friday October 23: Minimum 17, maximum 24, 3-30mm rain
Saturday October 24: Minimum 17, maximum 26, 0-15mm rain
Sunday October 25: Minimum 17, maximum 27, 0-10mm rain
