Carrie Bickmore and Tommy Little have called time on their popular afternoon radio show after nearly a decade, the duo’s split yet marking another casualty in Australia’s troubled radio industry.
The duo announced on Wednesday that they will depart their long-time show The Hit Network’s Carrie and Tommy at the end of the year.

Bickmore confirmed the news with an emotional message to listeners live on-air.
“After nearly 10 years of doing this amazing show, the Carrie and Tommy show is coming to an end,” the former Channel 10 personality said.
“I’ve loved every minute of doing the show.
“It’s not every day you get to come and have a laugh and call it your job with your best mate and the funniest guy in the country, and that’s what we’ve got to do for the last decade.”
Little echoed Bickmore’s sentiment and said it was “sad” news, before claiming it was not how he “wanted [the show] to end”.
“I love this job, and I would have kept doing it for a long time,” Little said.
“But I don’t always get my way, and I feel very grateful. I feel very lucky to have had the opportunity. I think we’ve had an amazing job to do.”
Bickmore and Little have anchored their afternoon show since 2017, broadcasting across every capital city from 3pm to 6pm every weekday.
Their Hit Network show is owned by Southern Cross Austereo and is broadcast on 2Day FM in Sydney and Fox in Melbourne.
Their final show will air on December 11.

It is expected that replacement hosts will be announced during SCA’s up-fronts on Thursday.
Bickmore is rumoured to be making the leap to rival network ARN.
It is believed the radio host will replace Will McMahon and Woody Whitelaw (Will & Woody), who also announced plans to exit KIIS at the end of 2026.
The shock announcement has come months after ARN’s Kyle Sandilands and Jackie “O” Henderson’s highly-publicised radio bust-up, which resulted in the abrupt end of their 27-year partnership.
