Granbury, TX. – The Arizona women’s golf team closed out the Abilene Christian Intercollegiate tied for 5th out of 9 teams, wrapping up the 54-hole tournament at Halbert National Golf Course with a 3-round total of 869 (+5). After a tournament-best 8-under par round on day two, the Wildcats posted a 3-over 291 in the final round to secure their top-five team finish.

Kinsley Ni capped off the week for Arizona, securing a career-best 2nd-place finish at 9-under par. Ni was tied for the individual lead heading into the final hole of the tournament, but a wayward tee shot led to a bogey on 9, putting her just one stroke back of tournament champion Celina Yeo. Despite the tough finish on 9, Ni’s 54-hole total of 207 (-9) marks the lowest 54-hole score of her collegiate career.

Antonia Steiner earned a top-25 finish, tying for 24th overall at 3-over par after closing out her week with a 1-over 73. Steiner followed up her second-round 70 with another solid, steady effort in the final round to keep herself near the top half of the leaderboard.

Olivia Hung finished tied for 29th at 5-over par total after carding back-to-back under-par rounds to close the tournament. With a 1-under 71 in round two, Hung matched that performance with another 1-under 71 in the final round to leap eight spots up the leaderboard on the final day.

Nagore Martinez finished tied for 36th place (+8 overall) following a final-round 74 (+2). The highlight of Martinez’s tournament came on the final day when she posted an eagle on the par-5 15th hole.

Cloe Amion Villarino placed 41st overall at 11-over par after shooting a 3-over 75 in the final round to close out her tournament.

Oregon won the team title at 28-under par, led by Celina Yeo, who took first place on the individual leaderboard at 10-under.

This concludes the fall slate for Arizona. The Wildcats return to competition on February 8th at Tucson Country Club for the Thunderbird Intercollegiate.
