The off-market deal, completed in June 2026, comes around two years after a trust linked to the couple purchased the property for $5 million.According to property records cited by Patch, the sale was conducted through a trust associated with the actors, while the buyer used a limited liability company (LLC), keeping their identity private.The transaction marks a $1.5 million increase over the apartment’s purchase price, representing a 30% rise in value in just over two years.

The nearly 1,600-square-foot apartment, identified as unit 9B, is located directly above the couple’s eighth-floor residence at The Standish. Similar apartments in the building’s B line feature three bedrooms and two bathrooms.Krasinski and Blunt initially purchased two apartments spanning the eighth floor of the building in 2018 for a combined $11 million. A trust linked to them acquired the ninth-floor unit in January 2024 for $5 million, with renovation permits subsequently filed, according to property and city records.The reason behind their decision to buy the additional apartment and sell it later remains unclear.
The Standish has attracted several celebrity buyers
The sale adds to the growing list of high-profile property deals at The Standish, a historic limestone-and-brick building completed in 1903.Actor Matt Damon purchased a roughly 6,000-square-foot penthouse in the building for $16.7 million in 2017. In 2026, actor Adam Driver also bought property there, paying $11.5 million for three sixth-floor apartments with a combined area of 3,500 square feet.The building offers residents a range of amenities, including a 24-hour doorman, a fitness centre and a rooftop terrace with views of the harbour.Krasinski, best known for The Office and the A Quiet Place franchise, and Blunt, who has starred in films such as The Devil Wears Prada and Mary Poppins Returns, have maintained a presence in the luxury property market.
