In the 1995-96 season in the former Kyabram and District Cricket Association, the Kyabram Fire Brigade Cricket Club had teams striving for premierships in all senior grades of competition — A, A-reserve, B-grade and B-reserve.

And all four duly won premierships.

It’s a feat that had never been achieved previously or later before the curtain came down on the KDCA in 2011 when it combined with the Campaspe Cricket Association to form the Goulburn Campaspe Cricket competition.

Long-serving club president Justin Hooper said his club was pleased with the response from players in the four teams that won flags that season.

‘‘I reckon we have about 80 per cent of the four teams who have indicated they will attend the reunion at some stage.

“But any players, officials or supporters who have been involved in any premiership teams with the club over the years are welcome to attend the celebrations,’’ Justin said.

To kick off the weekend of celebrations a casual evening is planned for this Friday night, October 30 at Hurleys Hotel.

On Saturday, October 31, the focus will switch to Kyabram’s Northern Oval when Fire Brigade hosts Rochester in a Goulburn Murray Cricket division one blockbuster.

On Saturday night there is another function at which the club’s Team of the last 50 years will be named.

‘‘Everything is set for a huge weekend,’’ Justin said.
