Heading into the fourth night of battles on The Voice Season 30, Adam Levine, Kelly Clarkson and Riley Green had all used their one Steal to bring to their team an artist dropped by Queen Latifah, but Queen had yet to steal an artist from any of them.

With only five battles to go, all eyes were on Queen as she looked for the singer to make her team complete. But first, the coaches came together for the first performance of their own with a cover of “The Weight” by The Band.

Serving as guest advisers for the battles are Carly Pearce for Team Riley, Ariana DeBose for Team Kelly, Patti LaBelle for Team Queen, and Alex Warren for Team Adam.

Read on for our recap of the five battles from The Voice’s “The Battles, Part 4,” which aired Oct. 26 on NBC.

Mia Knight vs. Sophia Liano

Team Queen
Song: “Never Enough”
Patti’s advice: Patti offered that they shouldn’t “out-sing each other” because as vocalists they’re “both equal.” She also told them that throughout their career they can’t let “anybody deter you.”
Coaches’ comments: Kelly thought it was “neck and neck” for most of the duet, but ultimately gave the edge to Mia for one specific note at the end. Queen was happy that the song was able to show Sophia’s talent, but she told Mia that she has “leveled up and leveled up” throughout the competition.
Result: Mia Knight wins

Brayden Howell vs. Cade Mower

Team Riley
Song: “Wondering Why”
Carly’s advice: “Those little moments really can change it to make [the song] feel like yours,” said Carly, pointing out parts of the song that the guys can make the song their own. She wanted Cade to let the rasp in his voice loose and advised Brayden to not get intimidated by any other vocalist he’s next to.
Coaches’ comments: Kelly told Brayden that she’s “totally obsessed” with his vibe and his ability to sustain notes. Adam and Queen gave the win to Cade because there’s more they want to see from him. Riley acknowledged that Cade has the experience to know what he wants to do as a singer while Brayden has the ability to grab the audience’s attention immediately.
Result: Cade Mower wins

Lexi Stephens vs. Marilyn Hucek

Team Adam
Song: “All I Wanted”
Alex’s advice: Alex was blown away with their first run at rehearsal, highlighting their blend and harmonies as “two powerful vocalists.” He could recognize the musical theater influence in Lexi’s voice and told Marilyn that she doesn’t need to “push as hard as you do.”
Coaches’ comments: Queen thought they were “so locked in,” emphasizing Lexi’s lower register and the tone and texture in Marilyn’s voice. Adam thought that Marilyn had the most improvements to make since rehearsal and said that she achieved it. He added that the “power and precision” that Lexi has makes her an intimidating singer to go against.
Result: Lexi Stephens wins

Brooklyn Marie vs. Kavi Nyx

Team Kelly
Song: “Titanium”
Ariana’s advice: Ariana noted that Kavi can imbue meaning into a lot of parts of the song, but they had to work through finding space in the song for her to do her thing. She agreed with Kelly that Brooklyn needs to work on finding air to sustain her vocal.
Coaches’ comments: Adam called Brooklyn a “revelation” and Queen thinks Kavi succeeded at making the song her own. Kelly called them unique singers unlike anyone else, noting the “purity” in Brooklyn’s voice and the “richness and sexiness” in Kavi’s.
Result: Brooklyn Marie wins

Dakota Cohen vs. Destinee Monroe

Team Adam
Song: “Bring Me to Life”
Alex’s advice: Dakota was worried about the high range of the song, but Alex and Adam thought she was capable of it so they left it as-is. Alex acknowledged the stress of the moment and difficulty in the song so he advised Dakota to “take a few breaths and stay calm.”
Coaches’ comments: Queen was on her feet following the performance, excitedly telling them that they “performed the hell out of it.” Adam told Dakota that ‘there’s a little bit of Miley’ in her, and told Destinee that she has a “superpower voice.” Kelly jumped in to say that if she still had a Steal, it wouldn’t matter who Adam chose because she’d take the other.
Result: Dakota Cohen wins; Queen steals Destinee Monroe
