Global girl group Katseye have announced they are extending their sold-out world tour to Australia and New Zealand.
Arguably the biggest girl group in the world right now, Katseye have sold out arenas across Europe, the UK and, currently, North America on their Wildworld Tour – and they will now officially take their tour Down Under for shows next year in Melbourne (February 24) and Sydney (February 28) before wrapping up in Auckland (March 5), as presented by Live Nation.

When the group – consisting of members Lara Raj, Megan Skiendiel Daniela Avanzini, Sophia Laforteza and Yoonchae – first announced their Wildworld Tour in May, tickets sold out in under 48 hours, making it one of the most anticipated tours of the year.

Australia was not among the regions listed in the initial tour pit stops, but now that Melbourne and Sydney have been added, needless to say fans – known as Eyekons – are ecstatic.
This is how the Live Nation Instagram feed comments read right now – all written in capslock:
“AHHHHHHH PINKY IS UP,” one fan commented, referring to the Katseye smash hit Pinky Up.
“ILL GIVE MY KIDNEY FOR A TICKET OMFG,” another wrote.
“SH***ING MYSELF IM SO EXCITED,” one shared.
“I CANNOT BELIEVE THIS I AM SHAKING,” echoed another.
This isn’t the first time the group have headed to our shores.
They were last here in May for two exclusive fan events: one at Sydney’s Luna Park for a Q&A with select media, fans and competition winners; another appearance was for a pop-up performance in Melbourne where they played to a sold-out crowd at Festival Hall.
At their Sydney appearance attended by news.com.au, the girls teased that they were eyeing Australia as one of their tour stops, while admitting that world domination was the goal.
“I heard you guys have a really big arena somewhere,” Sophia said on stage at the Q&A as the crowd yelled out the big three venues: Allianz, Accor and Qudos Bank Arena (now Afterpay Arena).
“We want to headline Coachella, headline Lollapalooza, we want to headline everything.”

And they are certainly ticking off their dream venues and events one by one ever since they officially launched as a group in late 2023 – they also just performed at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show earlier his month.
But Lara, Megan, Daniela, Sophia and Yoonchae became fan favourites long before Katseye was even formed.
Each member appeared on the Netflix docu-series Pop Star Academy, which followed 20 aspiring dancers and singers (selected from more than 120,000 international applicants) as they underwent an intensive training program in LA.
The K-pop training program was run as a joint venture by South Korean entertainment company Hybe and US record label Geffen to create a truly global girl group with the aesthetic of K-pop but with a universal appeal.
The show was filmed over 18 months before premiering in 2024 as an 8-episode docu-series on Netflix, during which fans from around the world were able to vote for their favourite artists.
The final line-up, as voted by fans, is now known as Katseye.
