This edition of the Hidden Game is dedicated to Canadiens head coach Martin St. Louis — and, for that matter, goaltender Jakub Dobes.
We thought St. Louis had lost his mind when he decided to start Dobes against the Dallas Stars on Thursday night.
Forget for a moment what Jacob Fowler accomplished this week. The inconsistent Dobes hadn’t won a game since the season-opener on Sept. 29 at Toronto. Dobes has not played since Oct. 20 and was coming off four consecutive losses, during which he had allowed 20 goals.
