Nick Kyrgios has emerged as one of the most prominent media personalities gracing the off-court world of tennis.

After reaching the Wimbledon final in 2022, Kyrgios has struggled with a number of injuries, leading the former top 15 ATP Tour player to delve into the world of media.

Most recently, Kyrgios co-hosted TNT Sports’ coverage of Wimbledon alongside Coco Vandeweghe and Dan Evans.

Kyrgios also co-hosts a show with Serena Williams’ former coach, Patrick Mouratoglou. During their most recent episode, Kyrgios named a top 15 ATP player who he believes has been ‘underachieving.’

During the UTS Talk Show, Kyrgios said that he wants ‘Foe’ to do more, adding that the American is underachieving. Mouratoglou agreed with the sentiment.

Kyrgios said: “For how professional, how serious he takes it, he’s underachieving.”

Mouratoglou replied: “Yes, but he’s still progressing. Maybe not as fast as…”

Kyrgios interjected: “Is he?”

Mouratoglou responded: “I think so. You don’t think so? What’s his ranking?”

Kyrgios responded with a question: “Yes, but does ranking always mean that you’re progressing?”

Mouratoglou answered: “Ranking is about the results.”

Kyrgios posed another question to Mouratoglou: “But what about the slams?

Mouratoglou, who had been discussing Ben Shelton previously, said: “But Ben has a bigger game.”

Frances Tiafoe’s disappointing Wimbledon

Seeded 12th and with a strong history of grass court play behind him, Frances Tiafoe was a definite dark horse heading into Wimbledon this year.

After a first-round exodus of seeds from the men’s singles draw, Tiafoe had the perfect opportunity to make his mark at SW19.

However, the American ran into an inspired Cameron Norrie, who defeated the 12th seed 4-6 6-4 6-3 7-5.

Tiafoe will hope to perform better at the next major, the US Open, where he reached the semi-final in 2024 before losing to compatriot Taylor Fritz in five sets.
