Former high-profile MAFS contestant Bryce Ruthven has resigned as General Manager of Victorian community radio station South Coast FM after less than two months in the job.

Ruthven has accepted a new position after a dream opportunity emerged, and the station is understanding of his decision.

Ruthven took the reins as GM from Andre Sawkeno in September – expressing his passion for being ‘hyper-local’ and heralding a new chapter for the station.

Ruthven spent over a decade working in commercial radio in a variety of roles, including on-air, program management and operations, marketing and in the digital space.

In June 2023, Ruthven joined new DAB+ talk station Disrupt Radio.

Ruthven previously worked as the morning announcer on Traralgon’s TRFM, before relocating to Canberra to take up an on-air role at Hit 104.7.

He came to national prominence as a contestant on the 2021 season of Married At First Sight.
