Diamonds—and hoodies—really are a girl’s best friend. On Thursday night, Dakota Johnson offered up a dose of high-low dressing for a date night with Machine Gun Kelly.
Photographed outside of West Hollywood Italian hotspot Dan Tana’s, after attending a party hosted by Khaite, the Fifty Shades of Grey actor was seen in a monochrome little black look with subtle details. Her high-waisted miniskirt was trimmed with scalloped lace, her Gucci leather knee-high boots featured the house’s signature horsebit hardware, and her quilted shoulder bag from Valentino was studded with gold spikes.
To further accessorize, Johnson added six figures’ worth of jewelry, selecting a strand of tiger-eye beads from Laoli, set with four diamonds and an additional diamond pendant, and a 42-carat diamond necklace from Jessica McCormack.
Finally, to dress things down, she added a black zip-up sweatshirt to the ensemble. The cozy piece, with extra-long arms, a boxy silhouette, and a cropped hem, was embroidered with red lettering—identifying it as merch from Snoop Dogg’s production company, Death Row Pictures.
Next to her, MGK was seen wearing a deep-green satin bomber jacket over a yellow graphic hoodie, sweatpants, and fuzzy slippers—taking casual dressing to the next level. The two stars were first spotted together in September, after supposedly meeting at Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s July 3 wedding. While they have yet to confirm the relationship publicly, they have been frequently photographed together.
The rumored relationship followed Johnson’s breakup with artist Role Model. The actor, who previously dated Coldplay’s Chris Martin, joked about her tendency to date musicians while hosting Saturday Night Live—teasing that while most fans leave concerts with a T-shirt, she leaves them with long-term relationships.
