The first Xtra Insights survey of 2025 sees 92.7 Mix FM dominating the airwaves on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast, up 2.0% to 16.8 to be the station listened to most.
With an increase of 2.6% to 15.0, 91.9 Sea FM moves into second spot overall, leapfrogging ARN’s 91.1 Hot FM (-5.2 to 13.3).
This survey sees a significant shift in the Breakfast standings, with Mix FM duo Mark Darin and Annabelle ‘A.B.’ Brett enjoying a blinder of a book, up 3.1 to 17.9 – making them outright #1 in this timeslot.
They come in ahead of Sea FM’s Foz & Brooke, who went up an impressive 4.2% in Breakfast to 16.4. Previous brekky leaders Sam & Ash on Hot FM now hold down third (-5.6 to 14.2).
In Mix FM and Sea FM, GSL Media secures both the #1 and #2 stations overall.
Ben Erbsland, GSL Media Content Director, said “This result is testament of all the hard work the entire GSL Media team put in to this year’s survey. To achieve this result is incredible – I couldn’t be prouder”.
Carla Vella, GSL Media Managing Director, added, “We’re incredibly proud that Mix FM has returned to number one and SEA FM has surged into the number two position on the Sunshine Coast. These results are record breaking and demonstrates the power of our exceptional talent.”
“But most importantly, it’s about our community and our listeners. They are the reason we do what we do, and this outcome reflects the deep bond they have with our shows. From breakfast through drive, our audiences have voted with their ears, and we’re grateful for their loyalty.”
