Lucas Paqueta could complete a shock transfer to Everton before 1 September.
Jack Grealish was a statement signing for Everton, and after the Englishman registered two assists in the Toffees’ win over Brighton, it is looking like a very good piece of business already.
However, he may not be the only big arrival at the Hill Dickinson Stadium, with David Moyes eyeing Paqueta ahead of a potential swoop.
West Ham are said to be willing to entertain suitable offers for the Brazilian, and the Toffees could lodge one in the next few days.

Moyes was influential in the deal that saw Paqueta join West Ham in a £51million transfer from Lyon, and could look to work his magic to secure a reunion with the Irons maestro.
If Everton are to negotiate a deal, it is likely going to have to be around the £60m mark, given the fact that West Ham will not want to make a loss on one of their key players.

As for his wages, Capology claim that Paqueta is earning £150,000 at the London Stadium, and it is highly unlikely that he would settle for any less if he is to leave.
Everton’s current highest earner is Jack Grealish, with Jordan Pickford second in line earning a reported £125,00 per week on Merseyside.
Paqueta would instantly become the second-highest earner at the Toffees if a deal were to materialise.

Paqueta’s go-to squad number in his career has been the number 10, though Iliman Ndiaye currently occupies that shirt at Everton.
’39’ would seemingly be his next option given the fact that he wore that for three seasons at AC Milan, but once again that is taken, this time by Adam Aznou, who made the move from Bayern.
Number eight could be perfect for Paqueta, and would likely suit the role he would have to play at Everton under Moyes.
Several other clubs are interested in his services, though it is one to keep an eye on over the next six days.
