The Power have entered their new era under senior coach Josh Carr in explosive fashion, quickly axing five players just days after an emotional Round 24 victory over Gold Coast.
The club stated on Monday that the quintet of Ryan Burton, Jeremy Finlayson, Dylan Williams, Lachie Charleson and Hugh Jackson would not be given playing contracts for 2026, while Jed McEntee was added to the list.
Veterans Ryan Burton and Jeremy Finlayson headline the sudden list changes, contributing the majority of the combined 215 games the group of five had played for the Power.
Burton notched 115 games in the black and teal after joining in 2019, while Finlayson managed 62 games after leaving GWS at the end of 2021.
McEntee played 52 games as a mid-season recruit, kicking 31 goals.
Charleson has been delisted before recording a senior game after spending two years on the club’s AFL list, while Williams played 29 games over four seasons, 21 of which came in 2023.
22-year-old midfielder Jackson played nine games after debuting in Round 9 against Fremantle this year, averaging 9.3 disposals per game.

“We thank Ryan, Jeremy, Dylan, Lachie and Hugh for their contribution to our club,” Port Adelaide list manager Jason Cripps said on Monday.
“Ryan and Jeremy have both, at times, played important roles for our AFL side, offering versatility and depth when we’ve required it.
“Dylan and Hugh showed some positive development over the past few years, with both earning opportunities at the top level, while Lachie was a solid contributor to our SANFL program and showed great commitment to the club in his two years on the list.
“We wish all five players the very best for their futures.”
