Claudia Sarne (Shining Girls, Triple 9, The Book of Eli, Earthquake Bird, Dispatches from Elsewhere, Broken City) has provided the original score for the upcoming National Geographic documentary Lost in the Jungle. The film is directed by Elizabeth Chai Vasarhelyi & Jimmy Chin (Free Solo, Nayad) and Juan Camilo Cruz (In Her Hands) and tells the true story of four young siblings who crash land deep within the Colombian rainforest, and the dramatic rescue mission that unfolds, uniting Indigenous trackers and the military in a race against time. The movie features accounts directly from the children themselves and the rescuers who scoured the Amazon rainforest for a grueling 40 days and nights to find them. Cruz, Elizabeth Vasarhelyi & Chin are also producing the project with Mark Grieco, Anna Barnes (Wild Life, Return to Space), Simon Chinn & Jonathan Chinn (Man on Wire, Searching for Sugar Man) and Guillermo Galdos. Lost in the Jungle will premiere this weekend at the Telluride Film Festival before being released on September 12 on National Geographic and making is streaming debut on Disney+ and Hulu on the same day.
