Maybe the ICC needs to look at such issues, and if possible, provide better financial support to these countries so that the players do not bring shame to a great sport. But robbery isn’t the only crime the players end up committing. Some who come from a humble background and earn a hefty paycheque also end up in jail. Recently, Pakistan cricketer Haider Ali was arrested for alleged rape charges in Manchester.

Coming back to Doriga, he played a brilliant knock of 68 in 84 balls against Denmark, but could only score 12 against Kuwait during the ICC World Cup League, with PNG losing both games.
