7AFL Kids Call returns for Round 19 on 7plus Sport – Kids calling for kids for Collingwood v Fremantle clash, live and free on 7plus Sport.
Following a spectacular 7AFL Kids Call debut on Thursday 22 June, Round 19 of the 2025 Toyota AFL Premiership Season marks the second broadcast of the 7AFL Kids Call, live, free and exclusively streamed on 7plus Sport in Victoria, New South Wales and Western Australia.
Led by Alex Kouts (12), Ned Bolton (13) and Indie Axup (16), the loveable young footy fans will once again present their own pre-game and post-match coverage, as well as full match commentary for the Collingwood and Fremantle clash at the MCG from 3.00pm AEST on Sunday, 20 July.
In a first for Australian sporting codes and supported by Nintendo, the 7AFL Kids Call is designed to attract younger people to 7plus Sport, while at the same time unearthing some of Australia’s youngest and brightest Australian football commentary stars.
Alex, Ned and Indie will be guided by seasoned caller Jack Heverin and current stars of the game Cody Weightman (Western Bulldogs) and
Nick Larkey (North Melbourne) to give valuable insight and guide the young stars on gameday.
Alex, the 2024 AFL Auskicker of the Year, who takes huge inspiration from Bruce McAvaney, currently calls senior football in South Australia each Saturday, and will be based in the commentary box alongside Ned.
The son of current St Kilda Assistant Coach, Brendan Bolton, Ned has already shown a flair for his game day analysis and interviewing style through his popular “Roaming Bolts” series inspired by 7AFL’s Roaming Brian and produced by the Collingwood Football Club.

Indie will be back on deck to deliver all the latest news, interviews and insights from the boundary with coaches and players.
Seven Network Head of Sport – Digital, Kirsty Bradmore, said:
“The first 7AFL Kids Call went incredibly well and the kids had the best time putting their own spin on gameday. Alex, Ned and Indie we’re absolute naturals at bringing their unique perspective, energy, and knowledge to 7plus, and we’re so proud of them.
“At Seven we are always looking for ways to create fresh and engaging content and to connect with as many audiences as possible including young footy fans and families.”
Following Sunday’s game, minis from the match will be available on the 7AFL Kids Call hub on 7plus Sport nationally.
This year marks the first time Australians can stream AFL footy for free on 7plus Sport and access an impressive array of new shows, offering footy fans incredible AFL content seven nights of the week.

Who do you think will win the 2025 Toyota AFL Premiership? Collingwood, because they have a wide age range, have started well concerning injuries and have a fairly easy run home. They have experience with Finals and won the flag in 2023, so I think they have a good chance
Who do you think will win the 2025 Brownlow Medal? Whilst it’s a little too early in the season, I think Nick Daicos has a good chance to win the Brownlow. He plays a great game and is so impactful around the ball
